I have over 2,000 accidents and I will cronicle them by year.
Here are some numbers from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Government data show that each year cars, pickups and sport-utility
vehicles towing trailers are involved in nearly 59,000 accidents
resulting in close to 28,000 injuries. NHTSA estimates the number of
traffic accidents involving cars and trucks towing trailers increased
36 percent between 1992 and 2000.
Back in 2003 you reported that 57,000 crashes involving passenger
vehicles towing trailers
occur annually, according to a five year averages of accidents analysis
by the National Highway
Traffic Safety Association. In 2003 alone.. accidents resulted in 364
deaths, 14,484 injuries and
40,080 instances of Property Damage. Both the numbers of deaths and
property damages increased
in 2003 from the previous year.
In the year 2004
You reported more than 65,000 crashes involving passenger vehicles
towing trailers occurred in 2004,
jumping nearly 20 percent from the previous year, according to the
National Highway Traffic Safety
Association. In 2004 alone, accidents of vehicles with a trailing unit
resulted in 422 deaths, 27,332
injuries and 46,737 instances of Property Damage.
I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration provide us the same reporting using the same data
information for the year 2005, 2006, 2007.
